Dive into the fascinating story of Willem of Orange at Stedelijk Museum Breda

At the expo 'Willem – The Price of Freedom', the life story of Willem van Oranje is told in reverse order.

For the first time, the stories of Willem van Oranje in Delft and Breda are presented together. While Museum Prinsenhof Delft is temporarily closed for renovation, a large part of the Delft collection is temporarily on display in Breda.

One of the highlight pieces is a cast of his tomb monument. Willem wished, according to his will, to be buried in Breda, but due to the Spanish occupation, his body remained in Delft. For the exhibition, he will finally receive a symbolic grave in Breda.
