Iris Bouwmeester in Stedelijk Museum Breda
3 December 2025 and more
The two permanent exhibitions ‘The House van Nassau in Breda – Castle, City and Land’ and ‘Ambition & Desire – Breda in the 19th Century’ offer a fresh perspective on the history of the city and region. Thanks to the interactive Family Tracks, these presentations are also really worthwhile for young and old alike.
In addition, the museum features changing exhibitions in which contemporary artists and current themes are combined with historical topics, with Breda at the centre. Check the latest offerings on the website of Stedelijk Museum Breda.
Stedelijk Museum Breda is housed in one of the oldest buildings in Breda. It was previously an inn for travellers and the sick, and an old men's home. The clock in the tower has been running for over 500 years. Since 1956, it has served a cultural function.
Accessibility information:
The museum and museum café are easily accessible. There is a lift, and a spacious accessible toilet is located in the basement.
