De Koninginnen (The Queens)
An eye-catcher it certainly is: the artwork: de Koninginnen at the beginning of Wilhelminastraat. The gold-coloured lions resting atop this 8.5-metre-high artwork symbolise the Queens Beatrix and Maxima. It was created by visual artist Tom Claassen.
The artwork dates from 2016 and was created thanks to contributions from the Mondriaan Fund, the municipality of Breda and entrepreneurs from Oranje Zuid.
