Practical information Breda Jazz Festival 2026

  • Breda Jazz Festival
The Breda Jazz Festival is one of Breda's biggest events, attracting around a quarter of a million visitors each year. On this page, we share practical information that is useful when you visit the festival. Please note: Some of the information below is from 2025. It will be updated as soon as possible.

Accessibility and bicycle parking

This information is still from 2025 and will be updated as soon as possible.

Due to the crowds, the easiest way to reach the city centre of Breda is by public transport or by bike.
From the station, it takes ten minutes to walk to the heart of the city centre. With live music from street orchestras along the way, you'll immediately get into the right mood.

In Breda, you can safely and freely park your bike in the municipal bicycle parking facilities. During the Breda Jazz Festival, there are also additional bicycle parking options.

  • Prinsenkade, by the water.
  • Adriaan van Bergenstraat, on the grass fields.
  • Holland Casino, side of the building.
  • Oude Vest and Vlaszak, on the grassy strips.

Mobile supervision is in operation from Thursday to Saturday from 12 noon to 1 am and on Sunday from 12 noon to 10 pm. Staff are on hand to ensure that bicycle parking runs smoothly.

After the Breda Jazz Festival the additional parking facilities will be cleared again. Please remove your bike in time so that the municipality does not remove it.

Make sure your bike is properly parked!

To prevent congestion in the city centre, the municipality of Breda regularly removes improperly parked bicycles. Always park in one of the (temporary) bicycle racks or correctly at so-called staples!

Bicycles that are dangerously, incorrectly, or excessively parked, as well as bicycle wrecks, are taken to the municipal bicycle depot. Have you lost your bike? Then please visit the website of the Municipality of Breda for information about the bicycle depot.

Parking in Breda

Are you coming by car to the Jazz Festival after all? Paid parking applies throughout the city centre and surrounding districts. We have consolidated the parking information on a separate page. Here you'll find the various parking lots, garages, and a map.

Accessibility & First Aid

The map in the Beter Bereikbaar app shows, among other things, accessible toilets for people with disabilities and parking spaces for wheelchair users in the city centre of Breda. You can also find drinking water points and places where benches are located on it.

Changing Places Unit
New in 2026 is the mobile Changing Places Unit at Kasteelplein. This is a toilet facility with a wheelchair-accessible toilet, a care bench, and an hoist for people who require extra care. This way, Breda becomes even more welcoming and accessible during the Breda Jazz Festival!

The First Aid (EHBO) can also be found at Kasteelplein. Additionally, first aiders patrol through the city centre.

Glass and container ban

This information is still from 2025 and will be updated as soon as possible.

During several large events, such as the Breda Jazz Festival, it is prohibited to carry glass and cans in the city center. Closed packages are also not allowed.
The ban is in effect from Thursday, 14 May until Sunday, 17 May, daily from 12:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning.
In hospitality venues where guests are seated at tables, glass can be served.

For safety reasons, the organisation of the Breda Jazz Festival has announced that it will monitor compliance with this ban more strictly this year.

On the map next to here, you can see exactly which area is involved.
