5TRACKS, where working, meeting, and relaxing come together

    On the edge of the station in Breda rises a place that is more than just an office building. Roderick van Houwelingen, one of the initiators of 5TRACKS, explains how 5TRACKS is the project where living, working, and being come together. But what stands out within this whole is that it's not just about workspaces, but about connection.

    In a time when work is becoming increasingly flexible and individual, 5TRACKS chooses to bring this together. It is a place where companies and (young) professionals come together. A place where you not only come to work, but also to meet, learn, and take a moment away from your day.

    More than one office

    5TRACKS offers various ways of working under one roof. From flexible workspaces and meeting rooms to permanent offices and private offices. But what truly sets this place apart is the idea behind it.

    "It's not just about workspaces here, but about community and connection," says Roderick. "You're not just choosing an office, but an environment where you meet other people and grow together."

    “We try not to push it,” he explains. “But we do create the moments when it can happen. During the wait for coffee at the centrally located coffee corner, or during one of our events.”

    Think of business talks, drinks, and informal activities that ensure people keep running into each other. Almost all companies located in the 5TRACKS office building participate in table tennis tournaments and challenges like who takes the most steps?

    “For example, we organize business talks on current topics, such as AI or cybersecurity,” Roderick shares. “Brief, substantive, and then just have a drink together afterwards.

    Green, open and central in the city

    What makes the whole thing complete is the physical environment. Right in the middle of the city, directly next to the station, yet surrounded by greenery.

    "If you work here, you'll naturally step outside for a call or a quick break," says Roderick.

    Unique to 5TRACKS are the Atria’s, which are located centrally within the buildings. Here, you're literally inside among the greenery! So even when the weather is less than ideal, you can still enjoy a green and inspiring environment.

    The park adjacent to the building is designed as an extension of the structure, with space to relax, meet, and even eatable greenery. They even have a retention roof here. This captures rainwater that is used for the garden. As a result, this garden is almost always green.

    A place that moves with Breda

    5TRACKS aligns with Breda's ambition to be a city where living, working, and gathering come together.

    "The idea is that this is a place where people like to come," says Roderick. "Not only to work, but also to meet others and discover and perhaps develop new things." It currently mainly consists of offices and, of course, apartments. But in the future, there will also be a gym, shops, restaurants, and much more. So it's definitely worth keeping an eye on 5TRACKS.

    It offers an inspiring working environment for companies. For students and startups, it's a place to learn and connect. And for the city, a new hotspot where innovation and meeting are central.

You can open your laptop in the atrium at any time, but if you want to be sure of a really good spot, you can also buy a strip card and sit at one of the flexdesks.

    Prefer a dedicated desk? You can also rent a permanent desk for a minimum of 3 months. Just bring your photo frame :)
