Light route through Breda

The city centre of Breda provides a fairy-tale setting for a cosy stroll. It's quite early for it to be dark, so plenty of time for an evening winter walk along the festive lights, winter terraces, and the ice skating rink at Grote Markt (12 December to 4 January).     Start this winter walk at the LOLO pizzabar establishment in the Belcrum district. You can start your walk at any point along this route, but of course we had to begin somewhere. It might seem a bit far from the centre, but it is definitely worth the effort.  After a delicious pizza or pasta, set off on your journey. 
    From LOLO pizzabar, turn right towards the Speelhuislaan. In the trees above this old railway line, you'll find endless lights. Perfect for a photo to share with family or on your socials!

    Stroll down this beautiful street, cross at the end, and walk through the station to the illuminated Willemstraat. This street is the entrance to the city, and from here you can walk into the enchanting lit-up Stadspark Valkenberg.
