<p>Staatsbosbeheer has decided to remove the Kabouterpad from its current location. Efforts are being made to relocate it to another spot in the Mastbos, but this will certainly not happen before 2026.</p><p>There still is a <a href="https://www.staatsbosbeheer.nl/uit-in-de-natuur/kabouterspad-duiventoren-dorst" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Kabouterpad in the Boswachterij Dorst</a>, near Breda.</p>

The Mastbos, established under the supervision of Hendrik III of Nassau, is known as the 'back garden of Breda'. In this forest, you can find several cosy cafés and stylish restaurants. Nothing special, as two-thirds of the Netherlands looked like that at the time. But in 1515, that changed: Count Hendrik III of Nassau ordered the planting of Scots pines in this area.
