Junebug x TURF

June leads an invisible existence in a cabin, deep in the southern United States. Surrounded by forests and her beloved Angel, she spends her days in front of the television, until the signal begins to falter. With the noise on our heels, we race through a hallucinatory American dreamscape full of TV mediums, takeout burritos, foggy motels, and ghosts from the past.

Junebug invites you into a sensory sound world where reality and imagination seamlessly blend. Theatre maker Anna Verkouteren Jansen fuses theatre, cinema, podcast, and a touch of Efteling into a fully immersive experience. In this film, the screen responds back.
