Royal Roots cycling route

A 27 km bike route that connects the Royal Roots highlights with each other. In Breda and its surroundings, you will find many traces of the Nassau family. Discover impressive buildings, ancient forests, unique locations and contemporary artworks. This route takes you along mostly historic sites. A cycling route of approximately 27 km that connects the Royal Roots highlights. In Breda and its surroundings, you will find many traces of the Nassau family. Discover impressive buildings, ancient forests, special locations and contemporary artworks. And of course: the unique eye tiles from the Castle of Breda!

The perfect combination of greenery, city and culture that you can discover in and around Breda. The first part of the route mainly consists of sights in the centre of Breda and will therefore include various stops. From Stadspark Valkenberg, you leave the city and head towards the greenery, with parts of the route consisting of nodes. Via Baronielaan, you will then find yourself back in the city. The duration of this route is up to you. 

TIP: stop at one of Breda's cosy hotspots along the way, such as T-huis in Park Valkenberg or BAAI by the water.
