Playground De Hoogte - Groene Camino location
In the park-like heart of the new development De Contreie, on the street called Iron Age, lies the playground De Hoogte.
Around 1500 BC, during the Bronze Age, this location on a sandy ridge was inhabited. Remains of a farm, a water well, fireplaces, and a burial ground have been found. The climbing frames and playground equipment in the garden recall the former settlement. Here and there, information boards about the interesting history are also displayed.
Groene Camino
This location is part of the Groene Camino, a nature and cultural-historical walk through Breda. The walk is 26 km long and runs from the Heilige Eik in Den Hout through the centre of Breda to the Sint Jacobskapel in Galder.
