Groene Camino

De Groene Camino is a nature and cultural-historical walk through Breda. The route is 26 km long and runs from the Holy Oak in Den Hout through the city centre of Breda to the Sint Jacobskapel in Galder. The start and end points place the walk within the narrative of an ancient pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela in Spain (Santiago means James). The route connects, for humans, plants, and animals, the inner-city green spaces with the nature surrounding Breda. It is also an ecological corridor. Along the way, there are countless 'pause spots' where you can enjoy the green environment and the views of cultural, historical, and landscape beauty.
