Irelle Ramires is a 21-year-old singer-songwriter from Eindhoven with Dominican roots. Her raw, poetic lyrics float somewhere between Dutch pop and art rock. With a clown persona, she takes her performance into the theatrical and sings about themes such as being bullied, loss and not fitting into boxes. Beneath all the make-up is, above all, someone who wears her heart on her sleeve, trying to capture the feeling of growing up in melody. Irelle offers her listeners their own little pot of glitter make-up, a set of brushes, and hopes that her vulnerability will inspire people to open up a little more.
