Would you like to explore data and AI in more depth? In Breda, you can choose a full bachelor’s degree, a shorter course or a specialised master’s degree. 

At Breda University of Applied Sciences, you can take the English-taught bachelor’s degree in Applied Data Science & Artificial Intelligence. During this four-year programme, you will learn to programme, analyse data and build AI models. You will develop towards a role as a Data Scientist, Data Engineer or Analytics Translator. 

From the first year, you will work in the DataLab on projects involving real data and practical challenges. In the third year, you will choose an application area, such as healthcare, logistics, media, games or the built environment. In the second half of that year, you will complete a work placement. During your graduation project, you can carry out an assignment for a company or work on your own business, among other options. 

AI also plays an important role at Avans University of Applied Sciences. AI is part of several mainstream programmes, and Avans also offers education specifically focused on AI. 

Would you prefer to follow a shorter programme? At Avans in Breda or Tilburg, you can take the part-time Artificial Intelligence course. This course lasts twenty weeks. You will learn the basic concepts of AI and work with fellow students on an AI solution for an organisation’s challenge. 

Have you already completed a bachelor’s degree and do you meet the admission requirements? Then you can take the two-year master’s degree in Responsible AI Innovation at Avans in Breda. There, you will learn to apply AI and data to complex organisational challenges. Technical knowledge is combined with attention to ethics, privacy, legislation and societal impact. 

Within the Avans AI Accelerator, education, research and industry partners are brought together. This means students gain not only knowledge of the technical possibilities of AI, but also of its safe, ethical and sustainable application.

You don’t gain knowledge about AI only in a classroom. By working on real-world challenges, you discover what is technically possible and what an application means for people and organisations. 

At B’ROBOTICS, businesses, educational institutions, students and public authorities work together on robotics and AI. In the Smart Industry Fieldlab, new applications are developed, tested and put into practice. Through work placements, projects and collaborations with businesses, students can gain practical experience there. 

During the annual Stagemarkt, students from vocational, higher professional and university education meet organisations active in robotics, AI, technology, engineering and data, among other fields. Businesses present their work placements, and students can meet potential clients and employers directly. 

The annual B’ROBOTICS XXL Event also brings education, students and businesses together. Through demonstrations and practical examples, the event shows how robotics and AI are applied across different sectors. 
 

A practical project, internship or graduation assignment can be the first step towards a job. Technology company CM.com offers graduation internships, for example, in Data Science, AI and Software Development. Students work on real projects and are supervised by experienced employees.
