Walk through the Valkenberg park and across the Kasteelplein to admire the Castle of Breda, the ancestral seat of the Nassaus of Breda. Because the castle is on military land, it is not always accessible to visitors. However, there is almost every Saturday at 14:00 a guided tour led by a guide from Gilde de Baronie. You need to register at least 2 weeks in advance.

If you are interested in the history of Breda, don't miss the Stedelijk Museum Breda. It features, among other things, a major exhibition on the Nassaus in Breda. 

Of course Breda has all the well-known chains in its shopping streets, but it is mainly the specialty shops and smaller stores that make Breda such a delightful shopping city.
