Water Tower and Wilhelminapark - Groene Camino location
The water tower on Wilhelminasingel is a building constructed in neorenaissance style from 1894. It is 42 meters high and features a large water reservoir.
The adjacent Wilhelminapark was laid out at the time by the famous Landscape Architect Springer on the land freed up from the demolished fortress. The park features two water bodies that resemble a meandering river with gently sloping banks. The ponds are surrounded by circular pathway patterns. At Chassépark, on the bench with a poem, you have a beautiful view of both national monuments.
Groene Camino
This location is part of the Groene Camino, a nature and cultural-historical walk through Breda. The walk is 26 km long and runs from the Heilige Eik in Den Hout through the centre of Breda to the Sint Jacobskapel in Galder.
