Studio emma sophia is a small ceramics studio where handmade ceramics are created for daily use. Owner Emma primarily uses natural clay colours and textures which are shaped into simple, everyday objects for the home. The studio is located in the beautiful Koepelgevangenis. Therefore, the studio is only available for visits by appointment.

Emma consciously makes functional ceramics; products that can be used in daily life instead of purely decorative items. Emma Grout is the owner, maker, and designer at studio emma sophia. She graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, where she discovered ceramics.
