Strikberg - Groene Camino location

The Strikberg is a river dune and is located slightly higher than the rest of the polder. The site was once used for the hunting of the gentlemen of Breda. Rabbits were caught with the help of traps. Hence the name.

Along the small river de Mark, there are more river dunes. For example, the Belcrumberg, the Konijnenberg, and the Hartelbergen.  At the latter location, the Spaniards later constructed the Spinola Castle.

Groene Camino
 This location is part of the Groene Camino, a nature and cultural-historical walk through Breda. The walk is 26 km long and runs from the Heilige Eik in Den Hout through the centre of Breda to the Sint Jacobskapel in Galder.
