Great Church Breda - Traces of our Dutch slavery history
The Grote Kerk Breda is the focal point of the project Tracks of our Dutch slavery history in Breda from 18 April to 28 June.
In the exhibition Threads of Our Dutch Slavery Past, the Grote Kerk Breda displays the 35-meter-long wall hanging 'Traces of Slavery History North Brabant'. The making process is also explained, and stories about the province's slavery history are shared there.
Additionally, you can discover the personal stories of Anna and Laloupe, two former enslaved individuals, who were freed through their baptism in the Grote Kerk Breda.
Route
The Grote Kerk Breda is also the starting point of a walking route along various locations participating in this project.
