Apple Pie Bakery Klooster Breda
Appeltaartenbakkerij Klooster Breda is a day-care project in the former Cloister on Schorsmolenstraat (entrance via the gate at Nijverheidssingel). Every week, over a hundred delicious and honest apple pies are baked here, made according to traditional recipes with local/regional products. The pies are delivered to regular customers, but can also be ordered by phone or in the webshop.
In the shop where you collect the apple pies, homemade apple vinegar and apple syrup, two types of cookies (cloister biscuits and cloister rosets), walnut oil, flour from the Queen Wilhelmina mill in Dongen, and honey from a beekeeper in the Haagse Beemden in Breda are also sold.
Would you just like to have a coffee or tea with such a tasty piece? Then sit down at the adjacent Theetuin De Schenkerij.
Tip: In the shop of the apple pie bakery, you can also pick up the Kloosterwandeling ; an 8 km walking route past twelve (former) monasteries in the area.
