In Mama, Mag Ik Naar Huis Toe? six mothers share their vulnerable stories about the placement of their children outside the home. They talk about the emptiness this leaves behind, the guilt and shame that haunt them, and the fear of losing the bond with their child forever. At the same time, the film shows how love and courage can be stronger than judgment and pain. Aleksandra, Diana, Noraly, Monique, Coby, and Yvonne describe how they, step by step, found a way to work with the foster parents who give their children a home.
