Before I Turn 30… is a moving and hilarious drag cabaret show by Emily Salvia, the alter ego of theatre-maker Luuk van de Ven. In a mix of theatre, sketches and music, Emily takes the audience on an intimate, compelling and sometimes absurdly funny search for adulthood, identity and self-acceptance. What begins as a light-hearted checklist of things you’re supposed to have done “before you turn thirty” gradually unfolds into a raw look at trauma, sexual violence, anxiety and performance pressure.
