<p>Simone Berger and Armando Ello embarked on a quest with their film to explore the transmission of (war)traumas from the first to the third generation of people with an Indo or Moluccan background. Various aspects of the impact of Indo and colonial influences, two wars, and migration are discussed. Reggie Baay, Marion Bloem, Adriaan van Dis, Dido Michielsen, and Sylvia Pessireron incorporated their family histories into their work and reflect on them. Four others from the third generation use their family history in an artistic or professional manner in their daily work: Robin Block, Cheroney Pelupessy, Inez Schelfhout, and Esmay Uusmany. They give a new form to their turbulent heritage and to the future of remembrance.</p>
