In notebooks and digital notes, we put our everyday concerns, deepest desires, greatest fears, scribbled reminders, ambitious plans and things that cannot bear the light of day into words.

Theatre-makers Nastaran Razawi Khorasani and Matijs Jansen write a long and candid to-do list as they try to make sense of their lives, optimise their happiness, keep their relationships in balance, care for the children as well as possible, reflect on the spirit of the times and not become alienated from the country in which they live.
