The Story Behind Your Photo - BredaPhoto Opening Weekend

Bring along a photo, printed or digital, and share the story behind it with Nova de Hoo or Tânia A. Cardoso. They will translate your story on the spot into a personal comic strip. Throughout the day, all the drawn stories will find a place in the space, creating an ever-growing and living exhibition. At the end of the day, you can take your own comic strip home.

About both comic artists
Nova de Hoo graduated from the Comic Design course at the ArtEZ art academy in Zwolle in 2023. Since then, Nova has been making a name for themself through live drawing, 3D animations and comic strips for young people’s magazines.
Tânia A. Cardoso is a Rotterdam-based artist and storyteller with a background in architecture and urban planning. Her comics and illustrations have been published in, among others, Le Monde diplomatique and publications by nai010 publishers.
