Tea & Tunes with this time… Gavin Reijnders. In 2019, Gavin Reijnders reached the final of the Leiden Cabaret Festival with his ukulele. The festival jury praised him for showcasing a different sound within the cabaret context. According to the jury, he is “A boy who loves to live in his songs. His songs are top-notch.” After the finalist tour, he continued and performed at places like Amsterdam Fringe Festival and Lowlands. In 2022, Gavin won the BNNVARA TV programme Ik Ga Stuk!, where Stefano Keizers searches for new comedy talent. In the show, he takes revenge on his childhood bully through songs, explains that he is more than a Gay Best Friend, and applies for a role on Temptation Island. Gavin is a little fed up with constantly working on himself. After every mistake he makes, he forgets to learn the valuable lesson, but he does write a song about it. In 2023, Gavin toured the Netherlands with his first theatre show, Glittermoe. The theatre magazine described him as “a master in edgy anecdotes.”

At De Avenue, Gavin performs with guitarist/composer Nadine Rypkema, sharing songs and stories from his show Glittermoe and songs from his new show Jazzebelle. During the performance, you will be served a three-course selection of treats, starting with a soup. Followed by a round of savoury snacks and a round of various sweet delights. And as a surprise… bottomless mimosas!
