Sunset Cinema: The Zone of Interest @Maczek Memorial

The successful outdoor cinema in Breda is back. This summer, Sunset Cinema is once again transforming ten special locations into open-air cinemas. On Wednesday 13 August, you can experience The Zone of Interest from the impressive setting of the Maczek Memorial, where the story of Polish General Maczek and his soldiers from World War II is told.

Camp Commander Rudolf Höss lives with his family in a beautiful, spacious service house with a large garden, bordering the wall of Auschwitz. His wife Hedwig (Sandra Hüller, Anatomy of a Fall) feels like the queen. In this environment, she creates a paradise for her family, and she will not let this be taken away from her anymore.

The Zone of Interest is an impressive and extraordinary war drama like we have not seen before. Director Jonathan Glazer shows the banality of evil. The film was awarded the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival and won the Oscar for Best International Film and Best Sound.
