Stuurbaard Bakkebaard in MEZZ

Stuurbaard Bakkebaard is bringing their new album to MEZZ! The Eindhoven trio continues to find new ways to push boundaries and seek adventure. Since their formation in 1996, they have released five albums and performed hundreds of shows across the Netherlands, Europe, and South Africa.

After their latest record Boys Do Cry, there was a period of silence, but behind the scenes, they remained active. They created music for film and television, including the soundtrack for the film Doodslag with Theo Maassen. At the same time, they worked on something new: music designed to be played live. This evolved into their sixth album.

SBBB is not a reunion or a comeback, but a new chapter in a story that is far from over. On the new record, you'll hear the band in their most raw and angular form yet: a sound built on fuzz, drums, and their characteristic distorted vocals. The result is intense, gritty, charming, and somehow danceable.
