City storyteller Erik de Beweerde invites you to the StoryTrail Theatre Walk through Breda. On Sunday 11 October, he’ll take you more than four centuries back in time. As you wander through the city centre, he’ll tell you Breda’s iconic success story from the Eighty Years’ War: the ruse involving the "Turfschip".

Erik lets you experience old Breda as if you have landed in the middle of an adventure book. As if you yourself were a 16th-century resident of Breda, with all his love and suffering. The storyteller takes you along the luxurious cobblestones of Catharinastraat, but also through the mud of the slums. As a native of Breda, he feels at home everywhere. Wandering through the city, you will eventually find yourself at the Turfschip, the Brabant version of the Trojan Horse. Come along! Hide beneath the peat. Surprise the enemy and silence the cannons. Together with storyteller Erik, you will experience Breda’s history from the front row. Booking is essential.
