Sons of Soil

In Sons of the Soil blends movement, music, and text into a world of rituals, memories, and unspoken connections. Two boys find their way to adulthood, while the performance invites us to look openly at the complexity and vulnerability of masculinity. 

Choreographer Sheree Lenting created Sons of the Soil for Conny Janssen Danst, an intense duet about the layered nature and vulnerability of masculinity. The performance is part of DANSLOKAAL, where each year new talent collaborates with dancers from the Rotterdam-based company. Sons of the Soil is part of the Skatepark weekend at the Chassé Theater on 11 and 12 July.
