The story of Sergio Mendes His early days as a pianist in the Brazilian bossa nova scene to his first up-and-away years in LA at Atlantic and A&amp;M Records, and his comeback to the top of the charts with The Black Eyed Peas and John Legend. Josee Koning, singer and leading lady of Brazilian music in the Netherlands, provides an introduction to the film.&nbsp;During Breda Jazz, she will perform on the Veemarktplein (15 May, 5:15 PM). With the lively program 60 Years of Brasil '66 - The Music of Sergio Mendes, singer Josee Koning celebrates sixty years of Sergio Mendes's music together with her band and singer Egle Petrosiute. Josee and Egle are accompanied by a trio featuring virtuoso pianist Hans Vroomans, top drummer Yorán Vroom, and versatile Brazilian bassist Matheus Nicolaiewsky.&nbsp;Chassé x Breda Jazz Festival&nbsp; This collaboration between Chassé and Breda Jazz Festival brings together for a surprising jazz program.&nbsp;Get into the festival mood in advance with four special films and an exhibition by Breda photographer Willem Paterik.
