Sababa 5 in MEZZ

Sababa 5's music revolves around Mediterranean rhythms and melodies. 

The Paris-based band combines rock and psychedelic funk influences into a unique mix. They draw inspiration from sources around the world, including music from the 1960s and 1970s. 

Their music is rooted in vintage sounds but is continuously evolving. The single ‘Tokyo Midnight/Nasnusa’ with Japanese singer Yurika received worldwide attention. Following this, the band continued exploring new directions through collaborations and shows across Europe. 

In recent years, Sababa 5 has collaborated with vocalists such as Shiran Tzfira, Inbal Nur Dekel, Yurika Hanashima, and Sophia Solomon. With their second album, ‘Aspan’, they deepened their signature sound: a rich, instrumental fusion of funk, disco, and Eastern melodies. 

Now, the band presents ‘Nadir’, their fourth and most ambitious album to date. This album represents the sound of a band unafraid to move forward.
