About the film
Odysseus washes ashore on Ithaca, his kingdom which he left over twenty years ago to fight in the ruthless Trojan War. The once mighty king, now unrecognisably marked by war, finds a kingdom that has completely changed. His wife, Queen Penelope (Juliette Binoche), lives as a prisoner in her own house, harassed by violent suitors who want to marry her and take over the throne. Their son Telemachus (Charlie Plummer) must constantly confront these suitors who see him as a threat to the throne. To rescue his family and regain what he has lost, Odysseus must face his past.
