Pre-premiere opening film of the Dutch Film Festival: Voor de Meisjes

The opening film of the Dutch Film Festival Voor de Meisjes will be screened as a one-time preview on Friday, 26 September during the Cinema 10-Day event at Filmhuis Botanique Breda. Oscar-winning Mike van Diem wrote and directed this gripping and razor-sharp film. Top actors Thekla Reuten, Fedja van Huêt, Noortje Herlaar, and Valentijn Dhaenens play two couples who find themselves in a moral battle over their daughters' lives, pushing them to the limit. Two friends have shared a holiday home in the Austrian Alps for years. When their teenage daughters become involved in an accident during a joint holiday, the seemingly strong friendship quickly deteriorates. Old wounds and suppressed frustrations drive the parents further apart as they hear that one daughter can be saved, but only if the other girl is sacrificed. What begins as a moral dilemma escalates into an absurd battle full of manipulations and desperate actions, where the boundaries of decency are increasingly blurred. Because when it comes to your child, is everything allowed?
