Pol in MEZZ

Pol breathes new life into new wave. The Dutch brothers Ruben and Matthijs Pol are addicted to the distinctive sounds and mysterious allure of the genre. With their analogue-driven sound and contemporary twist, they capture the energy of iconic acts like Depeche Mode and Tears for Fears and translate it to 2025.

In 2022, the duo released a series of singles, including ‘Comme Ça’, ‘Boys Are’, and ‘Modern Strange Love’, followed by their self-titled debut EP in 2023. In 2024, they played their first headline show and Pol performed as a ‘must-see promising act’ at Eurosonic Noorderslag. 3voor12 ranked their performance as number 9 out of more than 100 acts that performed at the festival.

In addition to music, Ruben and Matthijs are active in the high-fashion world. As models for Saint Laurent, Gucci, and Dior, they combine style and sound, and they have even produced music for some of these fashion houses.
