Painting like Bob Ross

For more than 10 years, the adult education centre has offered short Bob Ross workshops. Many people still enjoy Bob Ross’s TV show every day. During this thirty-minute show, he creates one painting.

Bob Ross’s Wet-on-Wet Technique® is an excellent technique for learning to paint in a short time. You will experience just how wonderful this technique is, using only Bob Ross materials and your own commitment.

This technique is so called because, using the paints developed specifically for it, you apply layer after layer to the canvas while the oil paint is still wet. This means you do not have to wait for the paint to dry. Almost all colours can be mixed using the fourteen basic colours. The canvas used is coated with two layers of primer. You apply a base coat to this, which you then paint on. The base coat comes in three varieties: white, black and transparent.

Have you never painted using this technique before? No problem. The teacher, Gonny, will introduce you to the world of Bob Ross.

From 2026, short and longer courses will be offered at the adult education centre. These take place over two consecutive days. During this course, you will create a painting yourself in either 3 or 5 hours. You can also enrol separately for both days. A different painting is created each time.
