Paceshifters have always written their music from a live perspective, but decided to take the opposite approach for their new album ‘Out-and-Outer’.

After more than fifteen years of hard work and building a loyal fanbase with their energetic live shows, Paceshifters are making a bold choice. Their reputation has taken them to places like Pinkpop, Zwarte Cross, Groezrock, SXSW, and shows in the UK, Poland, Canada, Germany, and Serbia.

“Out-and-Outer is an album to listen to multiple times. There is more tension in it, but that only reveals itself after a few listens. We don’t give everything away at once. It’s a record where you discover something new every time,” the band says about the album.

The sound on the album has stadium rock allure but also flirts with shoegaze and post-punk. The songs on ‘Out-and-Outer’ touch on human suffering, both small and large. These are universal themes that everyone, directly or indirectly, experiences in life. Looking back to past times, the time that is on your heels, grief, and self-destruction. Change is the only constant in life, and Paceshifters have captured this transience in a collection of heartfelt songs that still burst forth from the stage live.
