Our Nest

Our Nest is an annual art project involving students from secondary special education at Breda College, De Kei (Koraal), and Visio Onderwijs Breda. This year, they created artworks around the theme of here and there. Are you coming along? 

The artworks explore how students interpret a journey. Everyone has given their own twist to the theme: vehicles that transport us across the world, stories about different cultures. From a phoenix rising from its ashes, to dragons and dreamcatchers. 

The artworks are made from various materials including real suitcases, sound installations, drawings, papier-mâché, textiles, wire, and even feathers and shells. Each piece tells a story. Sometimes you see it immediately, sometimes you need to look a bit closer.
