Openings: IVN Natuurtuin Oranjepolder, Oosterhout

Sunday, 3rd May marks the start of the summer season at the Natuurtuin Oranjepolder. This year, the season begins with extra festivities!

Information

Everyone is warmly welcome to enjoy a fun and educational day in nature this afternoon.

About IVN Nature Garden Oranjepolder
The Nature Garden is located north of Oosterhout, at Domeinweg 9. The area lies on the so-called ‘seam of Brabant’, where sand and clay meet and calcium-rich groundwater rises. In 1995, the garden was started on former farmland.

It has now become a beautiful nature reserve, with a pond, a high-stem orchard, an insect wall, and even a bat cellar. The garden is managed by IVN.

About the event
During the festive opening, volunteers from the Nature Garden will be present. In addition, other working groups and nature guides from IVN will be there. Visitors can discover what nature has to offer – to see, feel, and smell.

There is plenty to experience: from tiny water creatures to flowers and insects, and from flying bugs to products we can make from nature. There is especially lots for children to do and discover.

The Nature Garden Oranjepolder is open every Sunday afternoon in the summer.

Admission is free, and no registration is required. Since parking space is limited, the organization kindly asks visitors to come by bike as much as possible.
