The Art UnOrganized Foundation, together with Grote Kerk Breda, proudly presents the opening concert of the Vierdag-orgel, which will temporarily have a prominent position in the choir loft of the church.&nbsp; The special instrument was originally built in 1971 by the renowned organ builder Henk Vierdag for the Open Hofkerk in Rotterdam-Pendrecht.

While the historic Hillen organ is being restored, the Vierdag-orgel will have a new, temporary home in Breda. This top-quality instrument from the Post-War Reconstruction period has recently been installed by Organ builders Elbertse &amp; Van Vulpen and is among the highlights of Dutch organ building of the 20th century.&nbsp; 

The concert will be performed by Aart Bergwerff, organist of Grote Kerk Breda, in collaboration with soprano Elke Janssens and trumpeter Sander Kintaert. The programme includes works by composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Friedrich Händel, Domenico Scarlatti, and Henry Purcell. It will also feature a piece by Jacques van Oortmerssen (1950–2015), the first organist of the Vierdag-orgel in Rotterdam and a great advocate for the instrument.

Afterward, there will be a festive reception, where everyone can raise a toast to the arrival of the Vierdag organ.
