Rosalie Dembélé (1986) was born in Kèra, Mali, as the daughter of master drummer Victorien Dembélé. Between the ages of eight and fourteen, she danced and sang in her father’s group. After performing at the biannual event in Ségou, she was selected by “Amis de Kesoto” as a dance and singing trainer at the Catholic School of Mandiakuy.

She collaborated with Buwa artists such as Ben Zabo and Jean Luc Keita and then began her solo career. In 2021, she released her debut album Bwa Lada, followed by Barika in 2023. She performed at festivals such as Spot on Mali and Ogobagna, and undertook an extensive tour through Bwatun.

In February 2024, she became the first Bwa artist to give a major concert at the CICB in Bamako. She has since released more than 14 songs and 6 music videos in local languages.

During her Dutch tour, she will be accompanied by the Groningen-based Afrobeat band Dramali, led by Dramane Diarra.
