In the summer months, the Chassé Theater hosts a free program with surprising musical performances on several Saturday evenings under 'Open Windows'. Enjoy semi-acoustic (world) music on the terrace of Vensters'.
The Senegalese Rotterdammer Omar Ka hails from the Fulani, the largest nomadic people of West Africa with a rich musical tradition. His eccentric vocal style leaves no one unaffected, and together with his friends in the Fula Band, Omar creates an irresistible mix of Fulani folk, Dakar beats, Afro-reggae, and Desert blues. The combination of guitar, bass guitar, and drums with traditional West African instruments such as the kamale ngoni (African harp) and the djembé guarantees an unconventional sound and a dancing crowd.

Be surprised on a summer Saturday evening by the rhythms of West Africa during Open Vensters'. Omar Ka & Fula Band bring an energetic mix of Fulani folk, Afro-reggae, and Desert blues, live from the terrace of Vensters'.
