Information

During the summer months, the Chassé Theatre hosts several Saturday evenings with 'Open Vensters' featuring a free programme of surprising musical performances. Enjoy semi-acoustic (world) music on the terrace of Vensters'.

With an acoustic repertoire of Turkish, Arab, and Kurdish music, influenced by Western styles such as jazz, blues, and classical music, the Göksel Yılmaz Ensemble offers an innovative rendition of the multi-ethnic texture of the Anatolian musical landscape.

This diversity is enhanced by the international background of the five talented musicians in the ensemble: Anne Bakker on violin (Netherlands), Peter Rikkers on double bass (Netherlands), Jacobus Thiele (Germany) on percussion, Göksel Yılmaz, on ud, saz, guitar, and vocals (Netherlands/Turkey), and his sister Funda Yılmaz on vocals (Netherlands/Turkey). They also occasionally perform with guest musicians.
