Open Monumentendagen Breda 2026

Open Monumentendag is the largest cultural event in the Netherlands, a free and accessible public event that takes place annually on the second weekend of September. 

In Breda, this special weekend is organized each year by a local committee, which develops its own programme annually. Open Monumentendagen Breda offers visitors the unique opportunity to look inside many historical locations that are normally often not accessible. 

Every year, Open Monumentendag is themed around a new national theme, bringing the history of the municipality of Breda to life with much creativity. This year, Open Monumentendag focuses on Resilient Heritage.
