<p>A family of four is driving through a beautiful desolate Iranian landscape. A father lying with his leg in a cast, a mother laughing through her tears, a young child bouncing around the vehicle like fireworks. And an adult son who says nothing, his eyes fixed on the road. It quickly becomes clear that this is not just an ordinary trip but a farewell journey, during which the family clings to memories of the past, struggles with fears of the unknown, and worries about their sick dog.</p><p>Hit The Road is the phenomenal feature film debut of Panah Panahi, son of the renowned director Jafar Panahi (Taxi Tehran). With plenty of humour, the film paints a sensitive portrait of a family desperately trying to postpone the pain of an impending farewell. Featuring music from banned Iranian pop musicians and a celebrated cast, Hit The Road has already received several awards, including the best film award at the London Film Festival.</p>
