Niklas Paschburg is a German composer, pianist and producer whose music bridges neo-classical, ambient, electronic and pop genres. His work is characterized by a deep connection with nature, introspection and travel.
Since his debut ‘Tuur Mang Welten’ he has released several albums, including ‘Oceanic’, ‘Svalbard’ and ‘Panta Rhei’, and has collaborated with artists such as RY X, Hania Rani and Ásgeir. His previous project, ‘Mexican Alps’, marked a notable change in direction: for the first time, he completely abandoned his characteristic piano.
With his new EP ‘L’Écho de Bretagne’, due to be released in autumn, Niklas Paschburg returns to the essence: a solo piano recording, made on a more than hundred-year-old grand in a remote cottage in Brittany. Without internet, without digital distractions, only with a reel-to-reel recorder and the instrument that means the most to him.
The music, recorded live and improvised entirely, breathes calm, space and authenticity, capturing a rare moment of silence and concentration. The result is an intimate piece that invites the listener to slow down and find stillness. A pause from the world.
