New Candys in MEZZ

New Candys is an Italian band that combines dark rock ‘n’ roll with melodic sounds and psychedelic influences. The group was founded by Fernando Nuti and Dario Lucchesi, and later strengthened with Emanuele Zanardo and Francesco Giacomin. They have grown into one of the most prominent bands in the country. Their music effortlessly switches between raw energy and dreamy atmospheres, influenced by their hometown Venice. 

Internationally, New Candys has built a strong live reputation with tours across Europe, North America, and Australia. They have played at festivals such as SXSW, Levitation France, and Fuzz Club Eindhoven, and shared stages with acts like The Brian Jonestown Massacre and The Dandy Warhols. Their music has appeared in the series Shameless, and Iggy Pop described them as ‘kinky’: a fitting description for their intriguing, dark sound.
