In My Replika Is Better Than You, we follow the story of Lynn and Maeve, a young couple whose relationship is on the verge of breaking down. They discover a new form of non-monogamy: opening up their relationship to AI partners. Hoping to save their relationship, they download the Replika app and create their own ‘perfect match’: an AI partner, configured exactly as they want it. They start out sceptical, but become completely absorbed in their artificial relationship.
