MuziekSalon Spronk with 'the black Mozart'
Information
In November, during the campaign Nederland Leest, MuziekSalon Spronk will take you on a journey into the almost unbelievable, but true story of Joseph de Boulogne, also known as “the Black Mozart”. Born in Guadeloupe, he grew into a musical prodigy who conquered 18th-century Paris and was more popular than Mozart at the time.
Pianist Jetje van Wijk brings this forgotten story to life with beautiful music by Joseph de Boulogne, complemented by cheerful, contemporary classical music from the Caribbean region. Anna Ivanova performs as a guest pianist.
