In January 2026, MuziekSalon Spronk presents its January triptych “A Brilliant Symbiosis”: three consecutive weeks in which the beauty of folk music is connected with that of composed art music.
Episode I – The Life's Work of Bartók

Content: Conductor Lex Wiersma highlights the life's work of Béla Bartók, who literally ventured into the countryside with recording equipment to capture folk music in all its forms.
Episode II – Chopin Closer

Content: Pianist Jetje van Wijk brings the composer Frédéric Chopin closer than ever. His music, infused with nostalgia for his homeland Poland, still touches the heart immediately.
