Music Concert Riet & Geniet

The woodwind instrument takes center stage. Reed quintet Reedels and Clarinet Quartet K4 present an alternating programme on Friday evening, 8 May 2026, featuring a variety of musical styles. The woodwind instrument is at the heart of it all. 

The wind players of Calefax (reeds) discovered forty years ago that the sounds of these instruments combined created a good balance. They arranged music themselves for this special combination of instruments. 

Clarinet Quartet K4, together with violinist Anita Swinkels, performs a selection from the musical West Side Story. Who doesn’t know the classics: ‘I Feel Pretty’, ‘America’, and ‘Cool’? Enjoy these and other moments from Leonard Bernstein’s masterpiece. The clarinet players have been performing together for years in various orchestras and sought a new challenge in a small ensemble.
